CUPA Training and Resources The Cal CUPA Forum Board is developing new training resources to help local agencies provide reliable, consistent training for their inspection staff. Besides the annual Training Conference, the Board has begun the development of a CD training library and a 'Train the Trainer' program. Contact Bill Lent if you would like more information about any of the training opportunities offered by the Cal CUPA Forum Board. Training Announcements A list of training announcements with links to announcement information. Calendar A calendar to see what other opportunities are available. CD Training Library (NEW) Each local CUPA, PA and State Agency affiliated with the Unified Program will soon be provided training CD's at no cost. These CD's are intended to be used by the local agency to train their inspection staff. The content of these CD's is copyrighted and is the exclusive property of the California CUPA Forum Board. These CD's may not be resold or used by anyone for any purpose where a fee is charged without written permission from the California CUPA Forum Board. They are for sale to industry, other state agencies, and other interested parties for a nominal fee. The CDs are listed below . In addition to the seminars each disk contains a notepad file containing "System requirements", a link to download & install required software, instructions on opening and playing the instruction and helpful hints. Minimum system requirements are Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and Windows Media Player 7.1 or higher. Click on the links if you need to update or download these programs or contact your agency's IT staff to have them install the upgrades for you. Your computer must also have speakers or a headset so that you can hear the audio portion of the training. Refer to the list below for training topics. More will be added as new training sessions are videotaped. Thanks to the efforts of Bill Lent, San Mateo County Department of Environmental Health and with the talents of Stick It In Your Eye Video Productions in Cupertino, CA. Train the Trainer Another new program for 2004 is the development of 'Train the Trainer' courses. The California CUPA Forum Board will coordinate with the appropriate state agencies to establish 'Train the Trainer' courses. A list of trained local agency Trainers will be developed and maintained by the Board as a resource for local agencies to draw upon to meet local training needs. We will post more information about this project as it develops. Other Training Additional training opportunities are available through the Training Listing of our Related Links section on this website or in the Local Agencies In-House Training Examples.
